Learn to Read Hebrew, Review Jewish Practices, History:
The popular 12 week Introduction to Judaism class, offered by Rabbi Leigh Lerner and Rabbi Julia Appel, which teaches the reading of Hebrew and explains Jewish holidays, life cycle, and traditional history, starts its spring series on February 14.
It is required for those converting to Judaism or for those entering an interfaith marriage under Temple's auspices.
Those who simply wish to learn to read Hebrew may attend the first fifteen minutes of each Tuesday's session for 10 weeks.
Cost for up to two people per family: $50 Hebrew only; $200 complete course; $250 non-members, includes course fee, books and a Shabbat dinner for every individual/couple.

Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Canada is happy to announce the “Hot Riffs for Cool Kids” fundraising benefit event on Thursday, February 16th at the Crowley Centre for the Arts. Dr. Drummond, outgoing Chairman of the Board of Governors, will take to the stage with his band, the Daft Devils to play rock from the 70s, 80s and 90s. He has also recruited two other bands featuring talented musicians who will donate their time: the Country Cousins and the Flu Fighters who pay tribute to the Foo Fighters. In addition to the live music, the event will have typical carnival activities and food.
There will be a surprise auction with exclusive gifts ranging from 25-200$.
All proceeds of the event from ticket sales, games, alcohol and food sales as well as the auction will be donated to the hospital.
This event is open to the public and we invite you to come with friends and family to dance the night away.
Tickets are limited and are only $20. Please note that the event is only open to 18+.

L’Hôpital Shriners pour enfants® - Canada est heureux d'annoncer la tenue du concert bénéfice «Rafales de guitare pour les enfants» le jeudi 16 février au Centre des arts Crowley. Thanks to funding from the New Horizons for Seniors program of the Government of Canada, we've developed a series of fun digital literacy workshops "by seniors for seniors".
Free admission but the number of places is limited and advance registration is required.
